It's Currency
A Euro equals 10.8 Dirhams, & a Sterling Pound equals 16.3 Dirhams. The unit of currency is the Dirham (Dh), which is divided into 100 centimes. Visitors are advised to consult their banks for the current rate of exchange. Overseas visitors need to change their currency into Dirhams locally.
The Moroccan Central Bank (Bank Al Maghreb) fixes the value of the Dirham using a basket of currencies including the Euro, Dollar and Yen.

Climate
At three hours from most European cities, with a warm climate all year around, it is little wonder that over the last few years, Morocco has evolved towards becoming a home away from home for many foreigners willing to fly to Morocco.
Economic Development
Morocco's recent steps towards the establishment of a liberal and modern democracy. Since the new King, Mohammed VI, inherited a country with democracy already embedded in it He has continued to implement the democratic process keeping in mind Moroccan traditions, Morocco's long term stability, as well social and economic development.
Morocco is a kingdom and his Highness King Mohamed VI has indicated that one of the principal economic sectors he wishes to promote in Morocco is tourism. His aim is to have 10 million tourists annually visit Morocco by 2010. This ambitious project which includes hotel and road construction, improvement of infrastructure etc. will inevitably have a significant effect on property prices in prime tourist areas.
Morocco has a deep history and a rich and diverse culture. Morocco is above all a culture of tolerance, developed through its unique exposure of religions and cultures coming from Europe, Africa, the Orient, and the Mediterranean basin. This has resulted in a culture of hospitality deeply rooted in every Moroccan home, including the exceptional cuisine and the astonishing architectural tradition.
Morocco is also blessed with a geographic landscape of amazing beauty and diversity, with the Mediterranean sea in the North, the Atlantic in the West (and therefore more than 3,000 km of beaches), the Sahara in the South and the four Atlas Mountains chains culminating at more than 4,100 meters.
